 My fellow Americans.
As you know, many Americans are suffering from the wake left by Hurricane Katrina. Katrina shattered the lives of many people in New Orleans and the Gulf states. People have lost their family members, their pets and their homes. We have a responsibility to reach out and help our own people to help them with shelter, food, water and clothing while at the same time, rebuilding their homes. FEMA and the Government can't do it alone! In fact everyone that is involved with any kind of real estate transaction could be included. We welcome buyers and sellers! This is why I am calling on real estate professionals to pitch in and help New Orleans and those in the Gulf states rebuild itself in their time of need. There are more than 1.2 million real estate professionals in America today. If just 10% of us will pitch in and donate $10 out of your commissions each month, for 12 months this would raise $25,200,000 in twelve months. If you would be willing to pitch in just $20 a month for 12 months, that would raise more than $50 Million dollars. Our goal is to raise $50,000,000 for the Katrina relief effort by 1 September 2006.
